Alderman Arnold Hatch, NILGA Vice-President and UK Delegate, Committee of the Regions (CoR) European Conservatives and Reformists Group spoke following the CoR Economic Policy Commission (ECON) meeting on 15th July 2015. The meeting debated the need for fostering greater exchanges of information between tax authorities in different EU member states.

Alderman Carla Lockhart, appointed NILGA’s new President earlier this month, has heralded new legislation to prohibit sales of “legal highs” by giving enforcement powers to multiple agencies including the PSNI and Councils to reduce access to and sales of so called “legal highs”.
