NILGA is working in partnership with the Police Service of Northern Ireland and key stakeholders to help ensure the safety and security of elected representatives and their staff.
Abuse, threats and intimidation are wholly unacceptable, and NILGA is committed to supporting its members in addressing and preventing such behaviour.
Through this partnership with the PSNI, practical advice and guidance are being made available on crime prevention, responding to online and offline threats, strengthening personal and premises security, and understanding when and how to report incidents.
The webinar provided guidance on crime prevention, cyber security, and personal safety for elected representatives, along with a Q&A session with PSNI officers.
